A large, upright & dense evergreen shrub with olive green foliage.  Small yellow-green flowers appear May through June but they usually go unnoticed. Use as a foundation plant or as a screen, hedge or in a woodland garden. Tolerates extremely moist soils but will also do well in dry conditions. Leaves have a licorice scent when crushed. Very deer-resistant.
