Peggy Clarke Apricot is a small-sized, bushy, ornamental deciduous tree with a rounded to oval crown.  In mid to late winter, look for double-pink displays of beautiful and delicate fragrant flowers.  Blooms are followed by yellowish-green, fuzzy-skinned fruits that can be harvested during the summer, but the fruit is sour to bitter. This tree does well in full sun to part shade and is an excellent specimen tree when grown in moist, acidic, loamy soils.

They are best planted in protected areas so that the winter cold will not damage the flowers.  Flower buds are set on the previous year's wood.  If the tree needs pruning, it is best done immediately after flowering. This is a great tree for a small garden, walkway, patio, or deck, or in a group.
