Talk about a tough plant: Carex love medium to wet soils, do well in part shade to full shade, are almost impervious to deer and have no serious insect or disease problems. Perfect for the one spot where other plants struggle. ‘Ice Dance’ has stiff, ½” x 12” long leaves with a dark green center and thin white to off-white margins. They form a dense clump but will spread easily without becoming invasive. Great in combination with Hostas. Cut foliage back to in late winter, similar to liriope.
Grows 12" - 18" ht. x 12" - 18" sp.
Everest Carex has a clumping habit and is a great plant for borders and edging. This evergreen grass maintains its color for year-round interest.
