With a deep green leaf color, this medium-sized cultivar holds excellent color throughout the winter. It has a rounded habit that is nearly as tall as wide. Its branching structure is very strong, allowing it to withstand most moderate to heavy snow loads, plus it's deer-resistant!
Prune lightly in late winter to early spring to maintain a uniform shape. Use as a hedge or foundation plant in full sun, part sun, or shade.

Winter Gem is a Korean boxwood that typically matures to 2-3’ tall and as wide. It is an evergreen shrub that features small, oval-rounded, dark green leaves. This shrub does best in full sun to part shade. Yellowish-green spring flowers are inconspicuous. Use in foundation plantings or as a small hedge. Korean boxwood is deer and rabbit tolerant. Winter Gem will grow 4-6' h x 4-6' w.
