Grows 3-6' ht & sp
Edgeworthia is a deciduous shrub that grows to six feet high and wide. The foliage is dark green almost blue-green above, gray-green below with silky hairs when young. The leaves are clustered at branch tips, presenting a tropical look, and die off in fall without coloring. The flower buds emerge in late summer and are covered with silky white hairs. They resemble white blossoms, so after the leaves drop in the fall the plant looks like it is already in bloom. The slightly fragrant, pale yellow flowers are present from February to April. This pest-free shrub prefers light shade and moist, fertile, well-drained soil containing plenty of organic matter. Water during summer drought. It requires little pruning.
