Japanese Tassel Fern forms an arching vase of stiff evergreen fronds which are lustrous, dark green, and appear shiny. Easy to grow, but prefers constant moisture. Plant in humus-rich soil in partial to full shade. The glossy shimmer of these fronds makes for a really nice mix in a hosta garden or shade garden in the landscape

Holly Fern is a vase-shaped evergreen fern with glossy, arching fronds that thrive in low light. Very attractive appearance and also low-maintenance, this easily grown, scaly fern does well in loose, fertile, moist soils in shade to part shade.
Seldom damaged by deer or rabbits, Holly Ferns can be used as a border in rock and shade gardens, in part to full shade ponds and slopes, in woodland gardens, and even as houseplants.
