Pachysandra is a slow-growing, broadleaf evergreen ground cover that forms a thick carpet of dark, glossy green foliage. It produces small white flower spikes that bloom in early spring. Tolerant of heat and humidity.
A great plant for groundcover or erosion control and prefers moist, well-drained soil with high organic matter. Pachysandra does best in part shade to full shade and in our part of the country, doesn't do well in full sun. It spreads by rhizomes to form large colonies beneath trees or shady areas.
