Very slow growing, this beautifully spotted Aucuba grows into a dense, rounded, evergreen shrub. It prefers rich, moist, and very well-drained soil in partial to full shade. The foliage is glossy, green blotched with yellow dots and streaks providing year-round interest.
A great plant for heavy shade, its showy leaves provide a pop of welcome color in dark corners as well as some color during the winter months. The flowers appear on new wood in early spring, so prune in late winter.
